I am originally from the northern part of Guatemala, the countryside. Growing up, my family had a dairy farm and we had to milk 100 cows before going to school in the morning. My father was an agricultural business engineer and I followed his steps  becoming an agricultural business engineer. I moved to the USA in 1991. Before Food Forward, I worked for a church and developed a food recovery program similar to the Wholesale Recovery Program  Luis and I competed for the same donations at the Wholesale Market, and he always told me that he had a big plan (the Pit Stop!) and we were going to work together. I always have the willingness to help those in need and that was one of the big reasons I came to Food Forward. We can help the world be a better place by providing for those who experience food insecurity with a smile and respect. When I’m not working, I’m a churchgoer so that occupies most of my time. I also like to cook and spend time with my family and friends.
