I was born in a small town in the mountains of Chihuahua, Mexico. I grew up in a poor family, what my parents made was not enough to provide for my 12 brothers and sisters. So I would help my neighbors out for very little pay. I helped harvest corn, and helped out on a cattle farm. During my town’s festivals, I fell in love with a beautiful woman. So I followed her down to the US and married her. She changed my life, a lot of my success I owe to her. Because I have lived through poverty and food insecurity, I’ve always admired the people that help others out. One day, I was presented with the opportunity to be a part of Food Forward and that’s how I am here today. I’m very pleased with what I do and hope my story inspires others.
