Kelsey is a native Ohioan who grew up in a family of avid gardeners and conservationists. After graduating college, she moved to Los Angeles and worked in the food service industry for several years. Seeing the amount of food waste this industry created in the midst of so much need ignited her interest in environmental justice and hunger relief. In 2019, Kelsey began working at the Museum of Contemporary Art where she gained experience creating zero-waste event infrastructure and sustainability-oriented programming. She is excited to continue fighting food insecurity and giving back to the community with the Food Forward team.
