David G Lake is a visionary entrepreneur and leader with over three decades of experience in the fresh produce industry. As the co-founder of 4Earth Farms in 1991, he embarked on a journey to redefine the standards of quality and sustainability in both organic and conventional fruits and vegetables. Over the years, David, alongside his wife Deborah, has steered 4Earth Farms to become a prominent player in the market, serving customers across North America.
Under his leadership, 4Earth Farms has become renowned for its commitment to value-added offerings, particularly in the vegetable segment, with flagship products including Brussels sprouts, green beans, broccoli, squash, and heirloom carrots.
Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, David Lake is deeply engaged in community and industry initiatives. Within the produce industry David has served a term on the IFPA Board of Directors (formerly the PMA). He also served on the executive board of the Orange County Museum of Art (OCMA) for the past 12 years. During his tenure at OCMA two successful chief executives were hired and the museum construction was completed. Additionally, David and Deborah are ardent supporters of Cure Duchenne, and other causes that directly impact children.
In addition to his role at 4Earth Farms, David has held various leadership positions. He was the former Chairman of Premier Business Bank until he led the sale to First Foundation Bank where he continued as a director until 2024. He is currently an active partner in LIV Organics, a fresh produce company that focuses on organic Citrus, Potatoes and Onions. David has been married for over 33 years to Deborah Lake and they have two adult children, Sydney Lake, and Harrison Lake.
