Nandini Nag
Nandini hails from the Bay Area, where she grew up frequenting her parents’ farm in Gilroy, the garlic capital of the world! From a young age she was exposed to subsistence farming and the importance of food in creating cultural continuity and fostering public health. She was able to explore this passion at a deeper level at UCLA, where she studied Business Economics along with a minor in Food Studies, and at USC where she studied Environmental Data Science. Before coming to Food Forward, Nandini explored many different careers from barista to marketing at a wine bar to data scientist at a startup; however, she soon realized she wanted to make a difference in the food security space. When she’s clocked out, you can catch her exploring a new green space, making her own clothes, or reading a fun book!
