Franchesca Ruiz

Franchesca grew up in Rancho Cucamonga, CA and earned a BA in Global Studies from UC Riverside before serving two years with the Peace Corps in Panama as an Environmental Volunteer. In Los Angeles, she worked in sustainability with the LA Conservation Corps and as a Zero Waste Specialist at Universal Waste Systems, educating businesses about California SB 1383. While volunteering at a compost hub, she heard about an opening at Food Forward, and the rest is history! As the Agency Relations Manager, she loves connecting with organizations doing wonderful work feeding their communities. When she is not answering emails, you can find her admiring nature on long walks, hunched over a new craft project or catching up with friends over coffee.
