Think food waste is the pits?
It’s important to practice what we peach. That’s why we teamed up with our friends at Clementine, Friends & Family, and Mohawk Bend this September to take a stand against hunger and food waste through a new campaign called Produce Change.
United by a common cause and a common ingredient — in this case, the peach — our restaurant friends are making it easy — and tasty — to have an impact in your community. All month long, our friends featured peach-themed menu items that benefitted Food Forward and invited us to #ProduceChange together. And the grand totals are in!
This September, we raised the funds necessary to recover and donate an additional 42,300 POUNDS of fresh fruits and vegetables for our community members in need!

Clementine brought back the Indian Summer (pictured), a sultry spiced chicken sandwich with grilled peaches that each helped Food Forward recover an additional 33 pounds of fruits and veggies. Read our Q&A with Annie Miler of Clementine!
Mohawk Bend whipped up a Peach Forward pizza featuring peaches, bilbao chorizo, arugula, and goat cheese, and helped Food Forward recover an additional 44 pounds of fresh produce per pizza sold. Read our Q&A with Chef Drew here!
Friends & Family
Friends & Family joined the fun with good old peach pie. Each pie represents 78 pounds of fruit and veg. That’s 13 pounds a slice!
