CAN IT! – Our Pilot Preserve Project Launches Nov. 22

In an attempt to take Food Forward’s activities of helping fight hunger in Southern CA to the next level, we are partnering with master canners Nina and Kevin of for a pilot workshop on canning and preserving.  This is aimed specifically to help educate/inspire FF volunteers who would want to be part of a new program where we can some of the bounty we harvest, donating part of it to the hungry as preserves, and selling part of it to help raise money for our group.

If you have a strong interest in learning about canning AND would want to use that interest to help move this initiative forward we have a HANDFUL of spots available for a Sunday Nov 22nd workshop at the MEND Kitchen in Pacoima.  It will start at 1:30pm and Nina will be running what is assured to be a great afternoon of learning and hands on canning.


Again, we have VERY FEW spots and are holding them for FF folk who to help take this knowledge into piloting a new initiative with us.  Thanks!
