Grilled Cheese brings in the Cheddar

April fools day proved to be no joke for Food Forward! On Friday, April 1 we hosted our first big fundraiser with Clementine restaurant, selling out the event and netting over $4000! Annie Miler, owner and chef of Clementine, donated her time, staff, space and amazing food for the night. In celebration of National Grilled Cheese Month, she featured some of her signature grilled cheeses such as the Asparagus Melt and ham and swiss on pretzel bread, plus fresh blood orange spritzers and an assortment of decadent desserts.

We couldn’t have pulled it all together without our amazing volunteers, especially Kat Thomas, who helped us gather in-kind donations for the silent auction and gift bags, market the event, and offered lots of hands on help for the night. Amy Calcote, another volunteers, was the photographer for the evening and took the fabulous photos that you see below. We love our volunteers! Thank you all!
