Hello Food Forward Volunteers!
This weekend, May 1st and 2nd, Food Forward will participate in Big Sunday – the LARGEST volunteer event in all of Southern California – period. Come join the fun, make new friends and help us harvest fruit trees in neighborhoods across Los Angeles to feed the hungry. This weekend promises to be a unique harvesting opportunity: multiple trees on multiple properties are ready to be harvested in the same neighborhood, making it a Food Forward/Big Sunday harvesting block party! EXTRA trees have come through so we need EXTRA help! Please RSVP to marie@foodforward.org if you are free to help out!
Volunteers are needed at the following events:
Saturday, May 1st
When: 9AM-12PM
Where: Granada Hills
Sunday, May 2nd
When: 9AM-12PM
Where: Northridge
Please indicate which day you’d like to participate when you RSVP.
We’ll have donuts AND coffee on both days to help jump start your morning along with FREE Big Sunday t-shirts for all who help! Please come join us for this special event.
